You're riding you bike across Iowa? But there's no coast in Iowa.
Yes indeed, I embarked on the Registers Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) a week ago and it was a blast! Think cruiser ride, for 70 miles, for an entire week and instead of partying in a park or on top of a parking garage the parties take over tiny little Iowa towns. It's non stop action, adventure and my favorite - bikes. Fueled by homemade pie, pork chops, sweet corn and beer, 10,000 riders pedal 471 miles from Sioux Center to Clinton Iowa. My dad and sis got to join for a day riding into Lake View and it was fantastic. Pictures will be up as soon as I find my camera that's somewhere in my panniers, backpack, car, or duffel bag.

We made it to San Fran!
I know I haven't posted since cannon beach in my defense I've been on the road with little more than my cycling computer much less the world wide boob. But I know you all can't wait for pictures and stories so here are some.
First, here's the culminating best picture at the Golden Gate taken by master photographer/home base command center, Ross Ruecker.
There is proof that all 4 of our crew made it!
The rest of the pictures are on my picasa site since it's much easier to caption and tag so I will post the link right now.
Also stay tuned for my adventures riding across Iowa, this time with a 20 lbs bike instead of 82 lbs.
